We're packed and ready for our cross-country flight to the National Stationery Show! We can't wait to share our new products, meet new friends, catch-up with fellow paper peeps we have been chatting with online for the past several months, see all the cool booth displays & products and of course, explore the city!

It's still craziness around here in the Feterie studio. We are so excited and look forward to meeting some press contacts that have mentioned that they will stop by the booth.
By now, our pallet should be arriving to our booth space. So, I couldn't help but check the NSS blog and guess what they posted? Behind-the-scenes photos of a small portion of the current set-up and show floor in all it's craziness. Check it out here! We'll be flying out very early tomorrow morning, so my last post before we land and have gotten settled in NYC will be very early Thursday morning.
There's so much going on behind the scenes here in the Feterie studio. We're busy packaging some of the new note cards that will be featured at the National Stationery Show, including these lovelies from our Modern Botanical Collection! As we ramp up to the show date, we're giving you an exclusive sneak peek at some of the bold colorways that these cards are available in. They'll be available on our online boutique soon after we return from the NSS and hopefully, available in many stationery boutiques throughout the States. Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy feasting your eyes on these lovelies! We're giddy with excitement sharing them publicly for the first time!
We're bursting with pride that we just have to share — our Eco-Luxe Gift Wrap is featured in the premiere issue of Stationery Trends magazine! We received an email from editor Sarah Schwartz last week and didn't get a chance to post about it because we were completely swamped with getting our ducks in a row for our show shipper. Now that the first phase rush has passed, we can celebrate! Not only is the gift wrap being featured in the magazine's LookBook section, but it will also be featured in a seminar on product trends that Sarah will be giving at the National Stationery Show!
Happy Mother's Day! I usually don't post on the weekends, but today I think that calls for an exception. So, grab your moms, aunties, grandmas, sisters and spend time with them!
My friend Julie shared with me a wonderful quote that's very touching and so appropriate for today that I just have to share:

Here we go folks - our show transportation for the NSS came today and loaded as much of our show stuff as possible on the truck... All we can do is put a tremendous amount of trust on our transportation company as it goes on its merry way and wish for a safe journey. Then we'll catch-up with it on the other side of the Coast next week!

Is it Summer already? Here in the SF Bay Area, the sun is out, the temperature has been heating up...so much so that I am starting to think that we skipped right over Spring and jumped into an early Summer! So, take out your sunglasses, go outside and soak up those rays (in a healthy way, of course! My sun-baking days are over!)! With a crazy week getting ready for the NSS I'm ready for an early start to the weekend!
Speaking of sunglasses, check out these sweet eyewear made entirely from molded plywood (well, except for the lenses) from California artist, Ted Swiet. If Charles and Ray Eames were alive today, I know they would really dig it! Have a good weekend everyone!
We've been quiet lately, I've been really quiet.... that's because we've been working away like busy little elves behind the scenes around here as we get ready for the National Stationery Show. Our transportation is coming next Thursday to pick up as much of our show stuff and then off it goes on it's cross-country trek to the other coast! So, we'll be packing our new note cards, wrapping paper collection, greeting cards, gift enclosures and our new 2008 holiday card collection along with all the necessary booth accoutrements — chairs, booth decor, tables. signage panels and display with all of the marketing materials. Fun times ahead! We can't wait to share all of the new designs and paper goodness with all the attendees at the show. We're aiming to have it in every cute little papeterie across the country! So, stay tuned!
Also, if you have a favorite store (or more than one in mind) in your area that you just absolutely love and would like to see our products in, please email us and let us know! We'll send them a personal invitation to visit our booth!
Meanwhile, here is a sneak peek of the magnets that we'll be having at our booth (1732) for attendees at the show. Each features super cool patterns from our stationery and gift wrap collection. I am loving how all the patterns really work well with each other and by themselves.

I'm swooning over Canterbury Sans. It has a deliciously modern with a touch of country-club air about it. I want to buy and use it so bad I may just have to design something around it — perhaps a not-so-traditional design that oozes inspiration from the imagery of what these three words conjures up: Loft, dark wood, metallic silver.
